If you host my domain name, do you also host my web site? Not necessarily. Web site hosting and Domain name hosting are two different things. We now offer a free service called "Web Site Creator Lite" which allows you to build a web site and host it on our servers. If you opt to use that service, Yes, we are hosting both your Domain Name and your web site. If you choose not to use this service, we are just hosting your Domain name.
I registered a domain name with you. How do I connect this name to my existing website? From the "Account Information Page", click on the new domain name. Complete the information under the "Third Level Domain Information" section. When finished, click on the "Modify" button located at the bottom of the page.
How do I get to the page to make changes to my technical contacts or administrative contacts, etc? Go to the "Domain Control Panel" for the domain you want to edit. In the "Utilities" section click "Contact/WhoIs Information".
How do I view a complete list of all the names that I have successfully registered? From the "my domains" section, click on the "Report" menu item.
What is the "watch list" and how does it work? All unavailable names left after a "list register" (feature allowing you to register more than one name at a time) are added to your "watch list" tab (located under the "my domains" section). You can now leave these names in this list and keep on checking their availability as often as you want, or delete them if you are not interested in obtaining them any longer.
Why won’t my URL forward when I put it into the third level domain information? You must be sure to click on “Save Changes” when you are done, and also it currently takes 12 to 24 hours for changes to take effect. We are working on making these changes take effect immediately.
When I register my new domain name, how long will it take to go “live” on the internet? From 12 to 48 hours; 24 to 48 hours being the most likely. The registry only updates the zone files from their database once every 12 hours, but as domain sells increase, so does the queue.
